This year, I am so very thankful that the smoking slipper trend lives on! I have a few pairs and I am not ready to give them up yet. Top designers are still spitting out new styles this winter; this gives me hope I can continue to wear my favorite kind of flats without looking like Hugh Hefner.

5:: Kate Spade
These are high-end designer styles, but you can find similar looks from Dolce Vita, Nordstrom B.P., and at Urban Outfitters.

Making moves to a higher altitude! Packing up and prepping for the snow! Here are a few of my favorite things to consider when living in the mountains.
#1: Grandma chic unique is sometimes the best and only way to go when it's below freezing and you don't have a clue of what to do. Megan, Katie, and Stef know all about this from our dorm days.
#2: Long sleeve patterns are wonderful
#3: Find some winter whites
#4: Black, Black, and more Black
#5: Did I mention black?
#6: Find an oversized, slightly masculine coat.
#7: Layering is Key
#8: Long underwear is sexy.
#9: Don't be afraid to rock long skirts. Unleash your inner hippie.
Thanks for all of the inspiration and images: VOGUE, Shopbop, JakandJil, anniieemal.blogspot.com/, and Columbine Smile Via becauseimaddicted
